There are crime shows you watch, and then there are crime shows that make you sit there staring at the screen thinking, “Well, that family is completely screwed.” MobLand belongs firmly in the second category.

The first season hooked viewers with its mix of London gang politics, family dysfunction, sudden violence and the kind of painfully tense conversations where you know somebody is about to make a very bad decision. Add Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Guy Ritchie’s unmistakable fingerprints to the whole thing, and it was almost impossible for the series not to become a talking point.

Now MobLand Season 2 is finally approaching, and the biggest question for fans is a simple one: when do the new episodes actually come out?

Thankfully, Paramount+ isn’t dumping the entire season in one night. Season 2 is following a weekly release schedule, which means we get ten Fridays of crime, betrayal and probably several moments where Harry Da Souza has to clean up somebody else’s spectacularly stupid mistake.

MobLand Season 2 premieres on Friday, September 18, 2026, on Paramount+. The new season contains 10 episodes, with one episode arriving each Friday through November.

Honestly, I’m glad Paramount+ is going weekly with this one. A show like MobLand benefits from breathing room. Part of the fun of a crime drama this messy is spending the next few days arguing about who betrayed whom, which character is secretly playing both sides, and whether Harry is ever going to get five minutes of peace.

That weekly format should also give the Harrigan family plenty of time to dominate social media discussions before the next episode lands.

The first episode, “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” immediately throws Maeve and Conrad into trouble while Harry is left dealing with the consequences. Jan also makes a significant confession, while Kevin and Seraphina appear to be looking beyond the chaos surrounding them.

And if you thought the Harrigans might somehow learn from everything that happened in Season 1, well… I wouldn’t bet money on it.

What Time Does MobLand Season 2 Come Out?

For viewers in the United States, new episodes are scheduled to arrive in the early hours of Friday morning. That makes the show particularly appealing to night owls, although anyone who has to work Friday morning may want to resist the temptation to stay awake.

So, yes, West Coast fans get the easiest deal. At 12:01 AM Pacific Time, the episode is essentially a midnight snack. For East Coast viewers, however, you’re looking at 3:01 AM. That’s a pretty brutal alarm clock for anyone who has responsibilities the next morning.

Personally, I’d rather watch it fresh than stumble through an episode half-asleep and miss some tiny detail that turns out to be incredibly important three weeks later.

What Is MobLand Season 2 About?

Season 1 left the criminal world surrounding the Harrigans in a precarious state, and Season 2 isn’t exactly arriving to restore peace.

Conrad and Maeve Harrigan are attempting to maintain the appearance of a united front while their empire faces pressure from multiple directions. The problem is that the danger isn’t only coming from outside the family. Internal fractures are becoming increasingly difficult to hide.

That’s where Harry Da Souza comes in.

Tom Hardy’s Harry remains the guy everyone calls when something has gone horribly wrong. He’s a fixer, strategist and occasional human fire extinguisher for the Harrigans. The problem is that Harry’s loyalty is going to be tested harder than ever as the conflict escalates.

Meanwhile, Maeve isn’t sitting around waiting for Conrad to figure things out. Helen Mirren’s character has always been one of the most interesting pieces on the board, precisely because she rarely needs to raise her voice to make something terrifying happen.

Conrad, meanwhile, appears increasingly difficult to control. That’s a dangerous combination when you’re dealing with a criminal empire held together by fear, loyalty and reputation.

The Cast Is Still the Biggest Reason to Watch

Let’s be honest: the cast is ridiculous in the best possible way.

Tom Hardy returns as Harry Da Souza, bringing the same quiet menace and barely-contained intensity that made the character so compelling in the first season.

Pierce Brosnan returns as Conrad Harrigan, the volatile patriarch whose authority is increasingly under pressure. Brosnan has always been excellent at playing characters who can look completely composed one second and terrifying the next.

And then there’s Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan. For my money, Maeve is one of the characters you should be watching most closely. She doesn’t need to dominate every scene because the threat is already there in the way she thinks several moves ahead.

The returning ensemble also includes Joanne Froggatt, Paddy Considine, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon and Jasmine Jobson.

Season 2 is also expanding the cast with Johnny Flynn, Ophelia Lovibond and Janet McTeer. McTeer joins as Kat McAllister, a character expected to shake up the existing balance of power.

Why the Weekly Release Is Actually a Good Thing

Streaming has trained us to expect eight or ten episodes at once, and while I love a good weekend binge as much as anyone, MobLand is exactly the kind of show that can benefit from a slower rollout.

There are too many characters, rivalries and hidden agendas to simply consume the whole thing and move on. Weekly episodes create that old-school television feeling where an episode ends, you have to wait seven days, and suddenly every conversation with your friends becomes a conspiracy board.

There are also some obvious advantages:

• More time to dissect every twist.
• Less risk of major plot moments disappearing in a weekend binge.
• More room for fan theories and character debates.
• A much longer cultural conversation around the season.

And with a show built around criminal families who are constantly lying to one another, there should be plenty to discuss.

Where Can You Watch MobLand Season 2?

In the United States, MobLand Season 2 streams exclusively on Paramount+. If you haven’t watched the first season yet, this is probably the perfect time to catch up before September 18.

The first season introduced the Harrigans, their rivals and the increasingly complicated position Harry finds himself in. Going into Season 2 without that context would be a shame, especially because the new episodes are clearly building on the fallout from the first chapter.

International availability varies by territory. Viewers in the UK and Ireland can watch the series through Paramount+, while audiences in India have access through JioHotstar. Other international markets have their own regional availability arrangements.

MobLand Season 3 Is Already Happening

Here’s the part that makes the future of the show particularly interesting: MobLand has already been renewed for Season 3.

That means viewers don’t have to spend the entire second season wondering whether the story is going to end abruptly. The series has enough confidence behind it to continue expanding this criminal universe beyond the upcoming ten episodes.

And considering how much unfinished business the Harrigans already have, I can’t say I’m surprised.

Get Ready for Another Very Bad Week for the Harrigans

MobLand Season 2 begins September 18, 2026, with new episodes arriving every Friday until the November 20 finale. If Season 1 taught us anything, it’s that nobody in this world stays comfortable for long.

Harry will have more fires to put out. Maeve will have her own agenda. Conrad will have to deal with a growing loss of control, and the rival factions will be watching for the slightest weakness.

That’s exactly why I’m looking forward to this season. MobLand doesn’t need to reinvent the crime-drama formula. It just needs to keep its characters sharp, its betrayals nasty and its tension high. With Hardy, Mirren and Brosnan at the center of the mess, that’s a pretty safe bet.

September 18 can’t come soon enough.
